As the comic progresses, more characters will be added and descriptions embellished. But for now, enjoy what's here, and hope for the best that I will be able to successfully create this world of mine for you to explore. Oh, and character reference sheets will be up... eventually... Vital Survival Aedr World Keys World Destroyers Name: Classified Known as: Vital Survival, World Key Hair Colour: White Eye Colour: Blue Age: Appears 10-ish, real age unknown Description: Vital is the World Key of this world, and is being constantly chased by World Destroyers. He has been captured by the Destroyers numerous times, and has escaped numerous times. The 'wing' attached to him was placed there by a World Destroyer who had the gall to make him more noticable to others. Vital keeps the affects of the 'wing' on him mostly to himself, and uses the World Key ability to his advantage. He has travelled to most places in the world while trying to keep ahead of the Destroyers, and has a vast knowledge not expected of someone with his appearance. He is cautious when meeting new people that can possibly become his ally or his enemy, and will usually put up an act as a child to go with his appearance, the safest method as many people do not know about his existance. Many secrets lie beneath the surface of this innocent-looking being. Name: Aedr Known as: Aedr, Key Protector Hair Colour: Dark Blue Eye Colour: Gray-ish Navy Blue Age: 20-ish, exact age not established yet (I'm a great storyteller...) Description: Aedr is the current Protector of Vital. He is the first person to be assigned this risky 'position', decided by the elders of his village to accompany Vital. He has a cool demeanor, and his face remains passive most of the time. He is a trained swordsman with a special sword, Lhala, that responds to his thoughts. More about Lhala remains to be unknown as of now. The white band in his hair signifies his skill with swords, but its meaning is only known to members of his village. He is also ambidextrous in the handling of swords, but prefers his right hand. His loyalty in protecting Vital is very strong; even though they barely know each other, he knows the burdens that have been placed upon him. World Keys World Keys in general vary greatly. They don't necessary have to be people, or living creatures for that matter. They can be machines, gas substances, liquid substances, solid substances, etc. Basically, they can be anything. And once that position has assumed them, the balance of their world is kept for as long as they still exist. There are actually complex rules that actually determine how the World Keys function with their worlds, but alas, that information is known to few, even amoung the World Keys. Each World Key has the ability to appear non-existant to those who do not know the term 'World Key' or their real name. This ability can only make one 'invisible' and not completely 'non-existant' though, so contact with those who cannot 'see' them will be felt. It may seem like a worthless ability, but not to those who are desperate. World Destroyers World Destroyers are those who seek to vanquish the World Keys. They each have various skills and personalities, but they all have the one goal to destroy the balances of worlds. It is said that most World Destroyers travel from world to world (via space transportation or other methods), and rumours have it that there is a universal Destroyer base located in whereabouts unknown. While the Destroyers hunt down their quarry, they actually know extremely little about the properties of World Keys. For that matter, very few people universe-wide actually know information about World Keys.
